2014 is a big year for Arctic Cat as well with the new 6000-Series C-TEC2 600 2-stroke engine, featured in the ZR El Tigre, as well as the 7000-Series C-TEC4 1049 4-stroke engine, which is provided by a new supplier. The crossover segment gets expanded with more XF models and the M series mountains sleds undergo a weight loss program where it matters the most, wet weight.

Last year at this time there weren't any new chassis or engines to talk about. However there were many updates and refinements from all four OEM’s.

For 2014 Polaris is introducing  many new models to areas of the market that were somewhat neglected the past few seasons. The recreational trail, recreational off-trail, and light utility segments are Polaris’ focus  this year by expanding the Indy model line.

2014 is going to be remembered as an important year for Arctic Cat. Since the introduction of the ProCross and ProClimb chassis in 2012 it was obvious  there  were gaps in their engine  line up, most notably the  lack of a 600  2-stroke.

Never one to sit back and ride on their success, Ski-doo is making some significant introductions for 2014. Some were expected, some were not. As well as expanding the XS and XM platforms and rMotion and tMotion suspensions respectively, as most expected, they are also introducing a new 900 ACE motor and some new to the industry technology associated with the new ACE.
